About Me.

Hi, I’m Jessica, chef and recipe developer of the bariatricchef.com. I am a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. After graduation I went to work for two amazing celebrity chef’s, Jose Andres and Wolfgang Puck in Washington, D.C. As a line cook I had the opportunity to gain experience in learning the restaurants cuisine: Greek, Turkish, Lebanese, Mexican and Pan Asian. 

After getting exhausted with the long hours of the restaurant world I transitioned into the healthcare field working in kitchens. I am currently working in a hospital kitchen managing the patient services area. I work with high risk diets alongside the Resident Dieticians. 

In June 2022 I had Gastric bypass. I wanted to use my expertise and love of food to develop recipes for the bariatric lifestyle. Follow along with me for recipes and helpful information for your success!
